Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Promoting the participants' Czech language competence. Promoting the ability to confidently understand Czech written and spoken texts and to express oneself appropriately in written and spoken form.
Contents: text work, practical text exercises (in written and spoken form), translations and adaptations of Czech texts of different varieties, formulation and writing of Czech texts with special attention to the choice of adequate linguistic means.
Method: text work, language exercises, translations, joint and individual work with various written and spoken materials.

Assessment and permitted materials

In this course, the students have to produce several spoken and written texts. Their active contribution is decisive: regular attendance, active participation during the semester, timely completion and submission of written homework, preparation of presentations as well as written and oral performance reviews during the semester.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

As the minimum requirement for a positive assessment, students must positively contribute more than half of the required tasks (regular attendance, active participation during the semester, timely completion and submission of written homework, preparation of presentations, completion of written and oral performance reviews during the semester). The other half can be divided into four quarters, from each of which the final grade is calculated.

The test contents consist of the topics covered during the course. The documents are made available in the course or via the Moodle platform.
