Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The lecture offers a linguistic overview of the current Standard Slovak norm at the different language levels. The lecture provides basic knowledge of synchronic linguistics, familiarity with the relevant linguistic methods and the relevant scientific literature. The theoretical knowledge is applied to Standard Slovak and its constitutive levels.
Lectures introduce students to the main areas of the field of study. It is especially their task to deal with the most important facts and doctrines in the field and to discuss the current state of scientific research. They consist of lectures by the lecturer as well as other forms of presentation.

Assessment and permitted materials

Oral examination of the contents of the lecture on the basis of an exam question catalogue. The exam will be done online via the BigBlueButton program.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

For a positive result, at least more than half of the exam questions must be answered exhaustively. The other half can be divided into four quarters, from each of which the final grade is calculated according to the number of questions answered.

Examination topics

The exam content is the subject matter of the course on the basis of a script including a catalogue of exam questions. Additional literature relevant to the examination is referred to in this script.

A script for the course is made available via the Moodle teaching platform. This also contains an overview of the relevant literature.
