Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the course selected topics will be discussed: history of Czechoslovakia 1945 - 1993, Action K, Action B, Alexander Dubček, Charter 77, Secret Service ŠtB, everyday life in Czechoslovakia, economy, art, etc.
For a better presentation of the lecture, an excursion (date will be discussed in the lecture) to the Institute of National Memory in Bratislava will be offered and some film screenings will be held.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation on the selected topic. An essay on the selected topics (January 2018). Regular attendance as well as active participation are also considered.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

A new knowledge of Czechoslovakia 1945 - 1993.

Examination topics

Presentation, discussion, excursion.

Reading list

The bibliography will be distributed in the first unit.
