Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Objectives:
Selected chapters of grammar are to be reviewed, while at the same time different teaching methods are tested and reflected upon. Guidance in group work, including practice with dramatic and role-play texts, is offered as needed. Reflection on self-organization and autonomous learning forms an integral part of the course.

Content:
Selected grammar topics, vocabulary development, games, text-based work up to oral presentation, and pronunciation training.

Methods:
Small-group work and the written consolidation of acquired material.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assignments for each class session, the creation of exercises, short tests on the grammar topics, and the maintenance of a learning portfolio.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Attendance is mandatory. Absences are permitted only in justified cases with appropriate documentation. Regular completion of written assignments and short tests is required. Submission of the portfolio is compulsory.

Various textbooks and grammar reference works. Further reading references are provided during the course. Teaching materials are distributed via Moodle.
