Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic knowledge on the structure of the chosen second language.
Acquiring strategies for the examination of language tools and the analytical treatment of simple texts as well as the use of dictionaries, grammars and similar reference works.
Upon completion, students should be able to communicate when dealing with simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
Differences among the varieties will be addressed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance (maximum of five excused absences) and active participation is mandatory for the student to complete all course requirements, continuous assessment of students' performance (oral contributions, homework, tests), three written tests.
Please count on an additional workload of 10-12 hours per week at home.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Positive results of all three written tests.
