Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist es, die Globalisierung als aktuelle Entwicklung in der tschechischen Gegenwartsliteratur zu verfolgen: die Heldinnen und Helden bewegen sich nicht mehr ausschließlich im tschechischen oder europäischen Milieu, sondern sind weltläufig geworden. In vielen zeitgenössischen Romanen spielen Mobilität und Kommunikation eine wesentliche Rolle, auch die globalen Probleme (Klimakrise, Migration, Globalisierung der Wirtschaft etc.) werden thematisiert. Im Konversatorium lesen wir interessante Texte bzw. Textpassagen, die analysiert und systematisiert werden sollen. Begleitend wird es eine Lesung sowie die Möglichkeit zu eigenen Übersetzungsversuchen und – da die betreffenden Autorinnen und Autoren noch nicht in den Literaturgeschichten besprochen werden – eine verstärkte Online-Recherchetätigkeit geben.

Assessment and permitted materials

Anwesenheit (maximal 3 Absenzen), aktive Mitarbeit, Arbeitsaufträge, Kurzpräsentationen, mündliche Prüfung am Ende des Semesters.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Für eine positive Beurteilung wird die Erfüllung der oben genannten Anforderungen bezüglich der im Lauf des Semesters erarbeiteten Themen und Texte verlangt.

Examination topics

Stoff der Prüfung sind die im Konversatorium erarbeiteten Themen und Texte.

Reading list

Primär- und Sekundärliteratur werden am Beginn des Semesters bekannt gegeben.
