survey of the leading authors of Romanticism in Polish, Slowak and Chekh literature; common features within European Romanticism; special developements according to the national traditions

Presence at all the sessions, presentation with handout, paper

knowledge of the leading authors and their main works in the Western Slavic Romantic literature

introduction; close-reading of selected texts; presentations by the participants, discussion
