Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

How can we guide learners to not only reproduce existing knowledge, but also to unfold their vull potential?
How can we guide learners to shape our world with more self-responsibility?
What kind of attitude do we need to allow such kind of education?
How do we deal with the contratictions between our own pedagogical beliefs and the existing educational structures?

Our workshop for emancipative learning and teaching will be dedicated to these questions.

The students will be guided through phases of action and reflection in the first half of the seminar to

+ reflect on their own education biography
+ set their own learning goals for the seminar
+ engage in the theory of engaged peadgogy

The seminar changes from a clearly guided seminar setting to an Open Space structure after the first half of the seminar. From then on, the seminar will be co-created with contributions from all participants.

Structure, content and methods of the seminar should allow students to experience themselves as creators of their own learning and development process. This empowering experience functions as conceptual and methodological base to guide learning processes for others. Learning processes that promote self-critical, empowering and responsible thinking in learners.

The seminar will be conducted by a team of 5 persons, called WeLL (workshop for emancipative learning and teaching ).
