Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course deals with pedagogical questions relating to the so-called migration-related diversity that teachers encounter in their everyday school life, and is especially interested in exploring what it means for teachers to act pedagogically in these spaces of collision, tension and potential. In terms of content, the course deals with basic terms and concepts (including migration/forced migration, inter-, multi-, transculturality, diversity, inclusion, intersectionality, migration pedagogy, multilingualism, trauma-informed pedagogy, trauma-responsive educational practices, professionalization), refers to lived experience, and reflects on key incidents in trauma-informed pedagogical approaches to migration-related diversity in the context of schooling. The learning processes of pupils as well as those of teachers along their professionalization continuum are of interest.
