Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Registration: Registration for both courses is done through SE 490124. The SSC handles the registration for the associated practicum (490061-1 PR Accompanied Practicum).Content and Objectives: This seminar is part of a one-semester course series and can only be completed in combination with the associated practicum. It focuses on expanding knowledge on disability, neurodivergence, mental health, and chronic illnesses. A special emphasis is placed on raising awareness in dealing with disabled and neurodivergent individuals, as well as people with chronic and/or mental illnesses in school and university contexts.In addition to the topic of disability, the seminar will particularly address mental health, crisis intervention, and neurodiversity, with a focus on autism and ADHD. Students will acquire barrier-free teaching skills, basic knowledge of eAccessibility, and information about support services and contact points. The seminar aims to expand professional knowledge and practical experience in the field of inclusive education at universities and in adult education.Methods: Through practical and theoretical exercises, students will gain competencies to critically reflect on and implement individual support measures. Participants will learn to recognize their own support skills, strengths, and limitations. The course leader brings a diverse professional background and combines theory and practice, as well as different disciplinary approaches.Registration: Registration for both courses is done through SE 490124. As part of the course package, participants complete 45 practicum hours (à 60 minutes) providing individual support to students with support needs and attend an accompanying course (490133) for group and individual reflection. Up to 6 hours can be completed within the framework of the QuaM workshops.Important Dates:
