Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This seminar gives you an overview of the development of basic mathematical competencies and sheds light on the background of unsuccessful mathematical learning processes. Reasons for dyscalculia are explained and material-supported compensation and explanation methods are shown. The aim is to acquire scientific, didactic and support diagnostic basics that will enable you to create the best possible learning conditions for pupils with difficult learning conditions and to professionally support and accompany them in their individual educational processes.
Methods: Group work, presentations, discussion

Assessment and permitted materials

- Submission of a portfolio on selected contents of the seminar
- Presentation of a planned teaching sequence or the structure of a topic area
- Participation in the discussion phases

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement:
- Attendance is compulsory (justified exceptions only after written agreement).
- The presentation is compulsory.

Assessment standard:

- Seminar paper (portfolio) 40% (40 points),
- Presentation 40% (40 points) ,
- Participation = participation in the discussion phases, constructive contributions and engagement in the discussion of the presentations 20% (20 points).

60 points are required for a positive assessment of the course.

2 (good) 89-81 points
3 (satisfactory) 80-71 points
4 (sufficient) 70-60 points
5 (not sufficient) 59-0 points
