Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the seminar is to achieve the ability to implement the Digital Basic Education curriculum in teaching sequences with the help of media and the ability to evaluate one's own teaching. For this purpose, a language of reflection is developed in the course of analyses of existing material and through recourse to theories. A language of application is acquired by designing one's own material. In this way, knowledge of the design of lessons for teaching digital basic education and the selection and design of media as teaching aids is imparted.
In terms of content, visual media (blackboard, textbook, worksheet), auditory media (podcast), audiovisual media (film), multimedia media (learning platform) and physical media (lecture) are dealt with.
Methodologically, the focus is on project work. This includes both the development of own designs and own material as well as commenting on the designs and material of colleagues.

Assessment and permitted materials

The performance assessment is based on the participation in the seminar, the developed material, the commentary and the answering of the assignments. The use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) for the production of texts is only permitted if this is expressly requested by the course instructor (e.g. for individual work tasks).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The minimum requirement for a positive assessment is
- the production of lesson plans and
- suitable media for this purpose,
- the formulation of comments in accordance with the specifications of the course management and
- the completion of assignments on given texts.
Assessment standard:
- Production of lesson plans: 30 points
- Production of appropriate media: 30 points
- Formulation of comments: 20 points
- Processing of tasks on given texts: 20 points
50 points are required for a positive assessment of the course.
1 (very good) 80-100 points
2 (good) 70-79 points
3 (satisfactory) 60-69 points
4 (sufficient) 50-59 points
5 (insufficient) 0-49 points
The seminar takes place online. The use of a camera is mandatory. To ensure good scientific practice, students may be invited to a grade-relevant interview after submission of the seminar paper, which must be completed positively. In the event of plagiarism of a partial assignment, the entire seminar counts as plagiarized. Attendance is compulsory (digital presence in the synchronous units). Absences will only be excused in justified cases, e.g. illness (only with a doctor's certificate), conflicting examination dates, compulsory participation in an excursion, supervisory duties and the like (only with confirmation).

Examination topics

The examination material is worked out by the participants themselves in the seminar in the form of lists of criteria.
