Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar will feature international speakers speaking on a range of modern day research in probability and related fields, especially mathematical physics.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participants who want to take this for credit are expected to attend. In addition, at the end of the semester, students would be invited to give a short presentation summarising one of the talks.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This is a research-level seminar. Students can obtain a grade by attending the seminar and taking notes during the talks. At the end of the semester, students will be asked to present their notes to one of the seminar organisers, and to give a brief presentation (~10 minutes) explaining aspects of one of the talks of their choice.
