Aims, contents and method of the course

Aim: After successful completion of the course, students are able to read, write an abstract of the main findings, and discuss the newest research developments in proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and bioinformatics.
Methods: Reading, writing an abstract, presentation, and discussion of recent publications in proteomics, metabolomics, and bioinformatics for Master and PhD students in Austria (cross-university) via online Meetings (Google Hangouts)

Assessment and permitted materials

1 Article presentation for each student, reading of the articles prior to the meeting, active course participation, asking questions, exchange of and discussion of scientific results in the area metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics, or bioinformatics,

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

One paper presentation, active discussion throughout the semester and attendance for at least 50% of the meetings is required.

Examination topics

No exam, presentation of 1 article and active scientific discussion throughout the semester

Reading list

No lecture notes are available, but scientific articles will be distributed for the different sessions
