Classes

Scheduling and working program will be done in agreement with the students signing up. We will start out with a blocked session in which an overview of the course will be presented and the working format will be discussed, followed up by flexibly arranged sessions in which individual grant proposals by students will be discussed. The first session will take place online via Zoom or Moodle on March 21st, 10 am -12 pm ***PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME compared to prior announcement***

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar has three major aims:
-is to provide an overview of grants and scholarships, with a focus on Austria and, but also beyond
-to provide insights into the (implicit and explicit) decision making processes grant agencies and reviewers rely on when evaluating such grants and scholarships
-to provide general advice and hands-on feedback on grants and scholarships drafted by the students

Assessment and permitted materials

Evaluation/grading will be based on in class participation, quizzes, and written materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ph.D. student in CoBeNe; if you want to partake, send an email to Claus Lamm (first come, first served, N(max)=20)
