Aims, contents and method of the course

A 45 min presentation given by students, followed by scientific feedback and discussion on the presented topic. The ability to give a good presentation and convey ideas succinctly is conveyed by practice and constructive criticism. The seminar aims to foster the presentation skills of the students and to foster an intellectually stimulating environment among researchers studying diverse aspects of RNA Biology at the Vienna Biocenter.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsatory attendence; the evaluation consists of different performances: quality of the seminar presentation and the scientific content; active participation in the scientific discussion of the presentations.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

100 points can be reached. Positive evaluation relies on positive evaluation of both, active participation (70 points) and presentation (30 points).
