Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This Seminar provides the opportunity to present and discuss state of the art research results with a multidisciplinary audience. Two doctoral students from different research groups summarize a recent paper of their choice (related to the research fields within the DK) and are guided by one faculty member (listed above). The paper is then critically discussed together with the audience and the faculty member assists with explanation or clarification as needed.

Assessment and permitted materials

Compulsory attendance; the evaluation consists of different performances: quality and completeness of the seminar presentation, active participation in the scientific discussion of the presented publications, written records (the percentage of the subgrades will be announced by the course leader); each of the subgrades must have a positive evaluation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

100 points can be reached:• Active participation: 70 Punkte (70%)• Presentation: 30 Punkte (30%)both subgrades must have a positive evaluation.
