Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Participants will learn how to develop their own stochastic or deterministic mathematical models and to implement simple simulation algorithms employing Monte Carlo or, respectively, finite difference methods. The choice of projects is motivated by the students' research work. The participants acquire a feeling for the potential and for the limitations of mathematical modeling and a basis for future interactions with modelers.
