Aims, contents and method of the course

"Introduction to: A. tropical habitats (e.g.mangroves, lowland rainforests, montane rainforests, coastal forests), B. tropical plant families and animals (amphibians), C. visit of different tropical scientific field stations (Barro Colorado, Bocas del Toro, Tropenstation La Gamba),
D. visit of STRI in Panama-City, E. island biology (Barro Colorado Island and Bocas del Toro), F. tropical field course in the Tropenstation La Gamba, G. the problems arising with the destruction of natural habitats in Panama and Costa Rica
