Aims, contents and method of the course

The workshop introduces the computational methods that are fundamental to genome-centric metagenomics: sequencing, assembly, binning, annotation and interpretation of metagenomic data on large scale.

Schedule:
Day 1: Metagenomic concepts, Sequencing types, Brief intros into projects
Day 2: Metagenomic programs and assembly, Server access and basics , Intro into how to assemble metagenomes
Day 3: uBin
Day 4: Anvi'o binning, Anvi'o , above and beyond
Day 5: Taxonomy, phylogeny, diversity , Gene calling and annotation, phenDB

The workshop targets Phd Students who use genomic and metagenomic methods.
