Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Each week we will read and discuss one to two primary research papers covering key areas of environmental microbiological research spanning a broad range of analyses. Emphasis will be on the methods and logical approaches used to understand and manipulate microbes. Each week, all students are expected to have read and thought about the papers in depth. Students should be prepared to describe and discuss any part of each paper, and to be able to summarize the major goals of the study and the major points and conclusions of the papers. Students are expected to participate actively and often.
