Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

- Best practices before and during bioinformatic work (e.g., naming samples, files, folders)
- Command line (bash) tips and tricks
- Code and data management using the version control software git and website GitHub
- Reproducibility and documentation of analyses (e.g. R markdown, Jupyter Notebook, snakemake)

Assessment and permitted materials

Active and continuous participation in class.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Presence and participation is mandatory.

Prerequisites: A basic understanding of bioinformatic work (ssh, Linux, bash) is required to join this class. An ssh client is required on the student’s computer. Bring your laptop.

Examination topics

There will be no exam. Evaluation is based on participation in class.
