The costs for travel, accommodation and meals (flat rate per night: single room €112.40; double room €98.40) have to be borne by the participants themselves or by the sending institutions.Rooms are pre-reserved for the participants, so it is not necessary to make your own registration or reservation at the hotel.

- active participation during the entire period
- active and constructive participation in peer feedback
- a contribution in the form of a poster or scientific presentation
o For empirical work that is already at an advanced stage, a presentation in the form of a scientific presentation is suitable.
o For all other contributions (research projects in the planning or idea stage), we recommend a poster presentation.
o For both presentations and posters, we expressly recommend that all participants present their open questions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
In-depth methodological knowledge is not a prerequisite, but the aim of the Summer School.The following must be submitted for registration:
- Poster: Abstract (maximum 1 page) with a structured description of the research project
- Presentation: Abstract (maximum 2 pages plus references) with the following structure: title; summary (150 words); theoretical background; research questions; methods; (initial) results; conclusions; references

The aim is to give participants a broad overview of research methods and to provide impetus for the further development of their own research projects.
This is achieved through:
- Contributions from international experts from various research fields
- Methodological workshops
- Presentation of own research projects
- Feedback from and discussions with experts
- Feedback from and discussions with peersThese experts will give lectures and workshops and will advise the participants during the Summer School:

- Dr. Sarah Rau-Patschke (Universität Duisburg-Essen): Begleitung studentischer Abschlussarbeiten – Herausforderungen und Chancen für Forschende in Lehrkräftebildung und Fachdidaktik
- Prof. Dr. Iris Nentwig-Gesemann (Freie Universität Bozen): Dokumentarische Methode (requested)The Summer School aims to provide participants with a broad overview of methodological approaches to research in the field of teaching and learning and to enable them to build networks outside their own scientific community.
