Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course provides a gentle introduction to practical data analysis using JASP. We will be reviewing descriptive statistics, basic methods such as correlations, regressions and ANOVA, as well as some advanced methods such as confirmatory factor analysis. The course is aimed at developing a practical understanding and will allow students to master basic and advanced models by themselves.

The following will be covered within in the course:
- Descriptive Statistics
- Testing of mean differences (t-test, ANOVA, U-test)
- Correlation
- Regression
- Confirmatory Factor Analysis
- Reliability Analysis

On all these topics, background information will be given, but the course focuses on hands-on examples. This course emphasizes open-source methods and data. As such we will be using only JASP to assess data and all of our datasets will be from open repositories of data. The course is designed for students with no or little previous experience with JASP.
