Students learn to communicate their own bachelor's project to a diverse lay audience in the spirit of science communication.
Students can create a poster for their own bachelor's thesis and evaluate it using a provided list of criteria.
Students can develop a concise pitch for their own bachelor's thesis.
Students can present their poster and pitch as part of a poster session.Content:
Monday: Fundamentals of poster design and creation of a first draft.
Tuesday: Fundamentals of developing a pitch.
Wednesday: Revision of the poster with a focus on target audience and reader orientation.
Thursday: Fundamentals of audio recording, creation of an audio recording of one's own pitch. Thursday noon: Digital submission of the print-ready poster.
Friday: Poster session: Students pitch their posters to invited guests. The event is the selection process for the first Austrian Posters in Parliament.Methods:
