Aims, contents and method of the course

ECTS: 4 credit points
The lecture content will concentrate on air traffic meteorology. Aerodynamic basics, air traffic dangers related to specific meteorological parameter (e.g. wind, wind shear, turbulence), the meteorological needs and products will build up the core of it. Finally mesoscale phenomena related to soaring, hot air ballooning and others are treated and forecast methods will be discussed. The student should develop some skills in combining theoretical knowledge and practical application for a specific customer.
