Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the field of
partial differential equations (PDEs). After discussing fundamental solution
strategies for such equations we turn to an analysis of some main types of
PDEs (Laplace, heat, wave and transport equation). We then study nonlinear
PDEs of first order. Finally, further general solution methods will be treated.
