Fundamental physical problems like nuclear and spectral Zeeman effect,
mechanical strength, Planck's law of radiation and an investigation of
coherence lengths of different visible light sources will be dealt with.
Additionally investigations of structure and dynamics in solids with the
most modern methods will be a main topic of this practical course. Modern
physical research is performed nowadays mostly at large scale facilities,
thus we plan to organize a two-day excursion to the synchrotron source
BESSY II in Berlin.
