Nowadays, since computer simulations form an integral part of almost every branch of research, numerical programming is a prerequisite for the efficiency and success of such methods.
In this lecture, the basics for problem analysis, development of efficient algorithms and implementation in computer codes are presented. The programming itself is done in Fortran90, a procedural, modular programming language that is widely used in the scientific community. The basics of this language are taught in the lecture and applied during the practical course.
