Aims, contents and method of the course

Objective of the exercise lecture is profound knowledge in writing scientific reports in general and the concrete personal diploma thesis or PhD thesis in particular. Relation between theory and practical exercises of 12 lecture units is 10:90. Emphasis is also laid on oral presentation of scientific results, on poster presentation and on writing of scientific papers.

Lecture is good for 2.8 ECTS points for exercise unit. Certificate results from final presentation of scientific report, diploma thesis or PhD thesis.

Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist die eigenständige Verfassung eines wissenschaftlichen Berichtes, der persönlichen Diplomarbeit oder einer Dissertation. Die dafür notwendigen Schritte beinhalten die Kartierung und Datenerfassung im Gelände, die Wahl der themenrelevanten Methoden und die Auswertung der Ergebnisse, sowie Aufbau und Inhalt der wissenschaftlichen Arbeit.
