Aims, contents and method of the course

Field trip: measurement of some changeable parameters, sampling of different water species (groundwater, surface waters, rain water, waste water).
Laboratory determinations: cations and anions with different analytical methods (spectrophotometry, flame-AAS, GF-AAS, DCP-AES, IC); m- and p-values;
physico-chemical parameters; important overall organic and biochemical parameters (COD, BOD, KMnO4).
Discussion of some environmental problems in relation with clarification plants. Interpretation and discussion of results.
