Aims, contents and method of the course

The field course is part of a long-term investigation in spawning, embryonic and larval development of two syntopic frog populations (Rana dalmatina, R. temporaria) in the western part of Vienna. Comparative data on phenology, habitat use, survival and growth are collected to contribute to the problems of coexistence/competition and adaptation to changing environmental conditions.
Evaluation: participation in field work.
