The lecture is focussed on both, the plant physiological background and the ecological consequences of horticultural techniques and agricultural cultivation respectively. The following topics are covered: grafting, regeneration from plant organs, in-vitro culture, germination / allelopathy, intercrop / mixed crop, growth analysis (vegetative/generative), soil properties / fertilization, nitrate / nitrite contamination, post harvest quality / ascorbate, phyto-hormones / phyto-effectors, herbicides, indoor plants cultivation / indoor pollution. The lecture is given in the experimental garden "Augarten".
