The field course (10 days in May/June) deals with applied-ecological topics regarding nature conservation in a Mediterranean cultural landscape and also introduces typical ecosystems during daily excursions. An introductive seminar presents general and site specific characteristics of the island of Cres. Assessed and analysed data are published in a report. The aim of the course is the planning, transaction, and analysis of scientific questions in mediterranean ecosystems, the gain of faunistic and floristic knowledge in co-operation with the local nature conservation agency, Ekocentar, Beli.
