Number Theory is the science of the integers and (apart from Geometry) the oldest part of Mathematics. In the last decades Number Theory is used in Computer Science (Cryptography). We are concerned with the prime factor decomposition, prime numbers, congruences, Fermat's Little Theorem and its consequences and with the solution of congruences of higher degree. The knowledge from school will suffice.
