Each week one or two students lead a critical discussion focusing on
recently published research. Chosen each week will be a major question in
tectonics that has relevance for a broad range of the sub-disciplines
(e.g. how strain in magmatic accessory minerals causes Pb loss and so
problems for dating orogenic events). Several Professors will
participate. The list of topics is selected at the beginning and students
choose those of interest & maybe relevance to his/her dissertation.
