is one of the central existence results in analysis possessing a variety of applications in analysis, differential geometry, functional analysis, partial differential equations and many other branches of mathematics. Its history
can be traced back to the works of Newton and Leibniz and is still being written. The aim of this seminar is to provide an introduction to this
