Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The book "Matrix Theory" by Fhuzen Zhang (Springer 1999) will be studied by the members of this seminar in order to give a two hour lecture each. The material follows the contents of the course "Linear Algebra and Geometry I,II" and deals in particular with: idempotence, nilpotence, involution, projection, etc. Further results on orthogonal and unitary matrices will supplement the theory of matrices offered in the course mentioned above.
