Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Introduction to the legal system of the EU
Contents: Legal nature of the EU, EU institutions, EU lawmaking and EU law enforcement, primary and secondary sources of EU law, supremacy rule, direct effect of EU law, state liability.
Method: Lecture and discussion

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment: Written exam
Permitted materials: open-book exam

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

50% for a positive grade, based on the written exam
