Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Introduction to State Aid and Subsidies international
Contents: EU State aid law and policy including COVID-19 measures; International dimension of European state aid policy; WTO agreement on subsidies and countervailing measures; Control of foreign subsidies (China, US, UK); Link between international taxation and state aid policy (Google Tax); Special focus on aid to airlines and green energy; Competition aspects of financing public infrastructure; Overview on current European recovery programme 2021-2022
