Aims: Introduction to EU IP Law
Contents: EU IP Law is a dynamic area kept on the move by continuous changes in technologies and markets. The course EU IP law discusses the function, evolution, legal bases and prospects of IP protection in the internal market. While acquainting participants with the substantive and procedural rules of the most important IP regimes, the focus lies on the EU perspective in terms of integration dynamics and questions of EU law. National IP protection is only touched upon where necessary. It aims at a critical discussion of the added value of IP harmonization and sui generis regimes on the EU level.
