Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Aims: Introduction to European Data Protection Law
Contents: This course provides and introduction into U.S. and EU data privacy law, putting a strong emphasis on EU data protection law. The different overall regulatory approaches in the U.S. and the EU will be discussed. Within the legal framework of the EU, special attention will be given to the question of applicable national data protection law, the requirements of lawful processing of personal data and international data transfers.
