Aims, contents and method of the course

The course covers the history of international relations after the end of the Cold War, main topics, actors, theories and interpretations. At the beginning of the semester, each student chooses a topic for his/her presentation (15-20 min.) and semester paper (15-20 pp.). Research topics can be chosen from the fields of e.g. international security, international organizations, globalization and trade, migration policy, development policy, international environmental policy, culture, terrorism, humanitarian interventions, peacekeeping …
