Aims, contents and method of the course

Contents
Introduction into analytical models of International Relations and Historiography; central actors and issues of international relations after 1945; the postwar international order; the UN; East-West relations, the Cold War and détente; crises and treaties; Decolonization and the North-South relations.

Aims
Command of and ability to critically analyze central issues and models.

• Written homework (1-2 pp.) (20 %)
• Participation (20 %)
