980033 TS Presentations in English (2014S)

This two-(half)day workshop combines relevant input on presentation skills and techniques with a considerable amount of practice to furnish participants with what they need to deliver professional presentations, reduce nervousness and make them feel more secure about their impact on an audience. Trainer and peer feedback will provide multiple perspectives on participants' presentation behavior. At the end of the seminar, each participant will receive a video of their presentation(s) to be able to continue the learning process on their own.

Day 1 will focus on presentation techniques input and trying various presentation elements including body language and handling questions. On Day 2, each participant will give a short presentation and handle the Q&A session at the end.

PREPARATION: Please prepare a 3-minute presentation of yourself as introduction for the first workshop day. You may use computer, flip chart or no visual aids. Apart from briefly introducing you to the other participants, this mini-presentation should also provide information about your past presentation experience and include a short anecdote about an event during your doctoral studies.
