Aims, contents and method of the course

What is the societal impact of my research? Although basic research can make a significant contribution to tackling societal challenges, scientists often find it difficult to answer this question. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly important to present the societal impact of one's own research in applications for external funding. The workshop brings these two topics together by linking them to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are concrete goals on a wide range of topics such as combating hunger and poverty as well as ensuring drinking water supplies, gender equality and resilient cities.

The workshop offers an introduction to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and provides the necessary know-how to be able to formulate the impact of one's own research and relate it to the SDGs.

Sigrid Koloo (Koloo Projects) &
