Examination topics

Lecture with possibilty for discussions. Power-points, short movie clips. teports from feld-resderach by lecturer. E-larming (Moodle). Study materials will be provided in German and English.

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam, mixed test (short questions / detailed questions). A list of questions for preparing for the test will be available.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of so-called "West-African traditional religions", basic knowledge of the history of the region. Getting to know cultural and religious transformations in the region caused by contact with Christianity. Sensitisation for problems of terminology in the study of so called traditional religions.
