Specific objectives:

The course aims to familiarize students with the positive role which minorities have played in the development of societies in Austria and Lebanon as examples of Middle Eastern and European societies. They often have been driving forces for the development of societies. Students should also become aware of stereotypes and distortions in the portrayal of minorities in Arab band European societies.
