Examination topics
For the first essay, a task will be with a view on the development and key concepts of global history. Most likely it will involve a critical engagement with a pertinent paper generated by ChatGPT.For the second essay, a choice of short historical sources will be given, each accompanied by a specific task which involves contextualizing and interpreting the source with a view on the case study part of the course.
Assessment and permitted materials
Two short papers / essays (3-4 pages), one due at the half, one at the end of the course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Both essays will be graded according to how good they demonstrate a critical understanding of the key points and ideas presented in the course.
If the essays differ in grade, the essay with the better grade counts 60%, the one with the worse grade 40% of the overall grade.
