Lecture course ("Ringvorlesung"); classroom discourse will be supplemented by visual aids (ppt, websites, excerpts from documentary and feature films).

Assessment and permitted materials

Written final test (end of June, early October, early December, or end of January).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

It is the aim of this lecture course to acquaint students with various biographical practices in a range of different media and to provide them with a theoretical framework for the study of biography.
